THE MAP

The Capital Province known as The Queensland is a strategic and advantageous location, as it is an easily defensible peninsula. Being rich in fertile farmlands, with access to all the major seas and waterways in the land, there was no better place to build a nation. A blessing in disguise was the proximity to the Aimsir Citadel, a much coveted fortress capable of bridging the void-space between Warrens. In total The Queensland is home to almost 550,000 beings, scattered between Bastion, Chail, and the surrounding farmland and towns. It is dominated by Humans, as it was largely built by them and is considered the centre of their homeland. Other races do call The Queensland home, however, and have migrated from other holdfasts or nomadic tribes to find security in the peninsula.

BASTION

At the heart of the capital province is the city of Bastion, grand and sparkling even in it's infancy. It is the seat of the Seasonal Monarchy, the place where the Monarchy's power and influence is put to the greatest effect. The industrious Human refugees have built gleaming stretches of urban infrastructure and compound architecture, tall houses on silver streets mingling in efficient designs. Construction has not ceased since the city's founding on the site of the arrival from Syvisa, workmen radiating outwards from the city center in a relentless effort to house and fortify their people, aided in part by the magics of the Fey people who have come to dwell within the city.

WINTER GROVE

Roughly 130 km north of Bastion lies the heart of The Winter Grove, the seat of Clan Winter and their most sacred place. A cold forest, misty and dense with sturdy plants and towering trees, a perfectly labyrinthine ritual site forever filled with snow. Secret meetings take place here under the moonlight on a regular basis to shape the future of Clan Winter.

SUMMER COAST

Roughly 75 km to the south of Bastion is a gleaming sunny coast, full of bright vistas perfect to capture the warmth of sunsets and sea breezes. The area is claimed by the Summer Clan, building their Ivory Tower and growing their prestige with new members, knowledge, and magic.

CHAIL
Roughly 150 km east, a weeks walk or a few days ride, of Bastion lies Chail, a quickly booming economic centre. As rapidly developing trade networks and chains of supply caravans flow through the city at a nearly frenzied pace as the local population rises to meet the merciless demands of the developing nation. Pressured by war and industry, the city's residents are composed of ambitious merchants, craftsmen, and artisans, each contributing to the city's growth and advancement. As the Sídhe settled Bastion, another Fey race integrated with the trade city of Chail, known as the Juni, using their cunning talent for commerce to keep the fledgling economy afloat.
